Rhonda Horne-McQuay
Principal Architect
Rhonda grew up in Kingston, attending Frontenac S.S. She graduated with distinction from Carleton University's School of Architecture in 2000 when she joined CKA. She enjoys working on projects that enhance communities.
Rhonda participates in all stages of the project including initial proposals, pre-design planning, creation of the conceptual design, design development details, review of construction documents for compliance to design intent, and review of the construction to ensure the as-built work achieves the integrity and quality of the design goal.
Rhonda assists the Principal-in-Charge to serve as the primary client contact at all project stages. She coordinates the design work with the design staff, the production staff, the various other consultant disciplines, the codes and by-laws, the Construction Manager, and the Authorities Having Jurisdiction. For many projects Rhonda serves as the Construction Administrator, working with Will to represent the Owner to the Contractor.
